Free Resources for the Isle of Man Lockdown 3.0

Updated: Oct 3, 2023

"We may not be in the same boat, but we can help each other weather this storm" With lockdown 3.0 announced on the Isle of Man this week and restrictions continuing across UK, we wanted to share some support networks and resources that are available, for free, for anyone who may need them here on the Isle of Man or beyond.

Let's stay safe and look out for each other.

5 SIMPLE WAYS TO BOOST POSITIVE MENTAL from Mike Kewley, Island's teacher of mindfulness and meditation

Here's a short list of ways we can all actively maintain positive mental and emotional health during the next few weeks. Follow the link below to a selection of free guided practices. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. 1) Train your brain to be focussed and calm. Take 10 minutes every day and develop these two superpowers to help you navigate each moment with more awareness and less reactivity. 2) Get outside. Nature is medicine so whether you go for a run, walk or stroll, put your body into a flow-state and soak up the green and blue. 3) Take a cold shower once a day to boost your immune system and feel revitalised and clear headed. See local Wim Hoff trainer Ian Iansson for more guidance. 4) Sleep better. Use my guided body-scan practice to help you fall asleep faster and deeper. 5) Get off social media. Don't waste the whole of lockdown on your phone, real life doesn't happen online. Close your laptop and live more in your senses!
